Humans of the Lost Isle [May 30, 2021 - June 30, 2021]
The introduction of humans to the Lost Isle is still a recent one. Although there are only a handful of them located on the northern side of the main island as a part of a research team, their presence hasn’t gone completely unnoticed by the local wildlife. As the team spreads out- driving their vehicles across the island, setting up temporary camps to study and survey the area, and collecting samples from the surrounding areas, the chances of them crossing paths with flocks of Avians increases… leading to some very interesting encounters.
Unused to the presence of humans, some Avians approach them with great caution… sometimes even aggressively if they feel threatened enough, while others are more curious about them and the things they leave laying around. It’s advised that any members of the research team who come across an Avian to minimize interaction as much as possible to avoid injury to either themselves or the animals |

A Day at the Beach [July 1, 2021 - July 31, 2021]
With the peak of summer just around the corner, denizens of the Lost Isle are looking for ways to beat the heat and cool off!
Luckily for them, the many beaches surrounding the isle offer a great place for humans and avians alike to escape the scorching summer sun! While some prefer to simply visit the coast and enjoy the cool breeze rolling off the sea, others may enjoy wading in the waves, burying themselves in the sand, or braving a dip in the refreshing ocean waters! It’s advised that research personnel avoid beaches that are occupied by groups of avians for safety reasons... |

Isle of Bones [September 1,2023 - September 30, 2023]
Since arriving on the Lost Isle, humans have found themselves perplexed by the unusual creatures that inhabit this large, isolated chunk of land.
Avians seem to defy what we know of the ties between prehistoric and modern animals, the course of evolution, and how we classify the animals we discover... and with every new discovery, we find that we only have more questions, and few with answers. It was thought, at first, that the avian species consisted of only four distinct subspecies; each resembling a psittaciforme with a therizinosaur-like body that simply evolved from large, flightless parrots trapped on the island... but with reports from the north claiming that many researchers had been finding the remains of avians that looked as if they had been predated, the question arose- what was eating them? Sightings of massive avians unlike any of the ones we'd seen came flooding in. Bones seemed to litter the ground the further north we went, and suddenly we came face to face with one of the most magnificent carnivores our world had never seen- the picine avians! |
